GIVE A LITTLE Total Running Length - 20:09 min "DJ Owns" the beat manipulation project of Tom Owens, presents, "Give A Little." The album is a hip-hop collection of nine short songs that mix beats with children's records. Created with: bad records, a kaoss pad, a computer and another computer. All beats tapped out live by DJ Owns on the computer keyboard (mostly first takes) except for "Un A Salad" which was programmed using a sequencer. This short collection of beats was created in 2005 throughout the few days leading up to Christmas. The album was recorded/mixed at the home & mastered by John K Erskine at the recording arts center in Holland, Michigan. |
